The SMU Welcome Team aims to create the best welcome experience as you begin your studies. For 2026 to 2027, the coordinators are:

 

Peer Coaches

New students are assigned a Peer Success Coach, an upper-year SMU student who can help you adjust to your life as a student at Saint Mary’s. Coaches contact you via email in early July and invite you to connect on a weekly basis regarding various topics like:

  • New student essentials
  • Campus resources and supports
  • Getting involved
  • How to succeed as a student

Be sure to check your email in early July to connect with your Peer Success Coach. If you haven't heard from your peer coach, email peercoaching@smu.ca with your name and A#.
